Quite tired after two days of harvesting wild mushrooms, fishing, and exploring the woods.
So just sitting quietly enjoying a brew with just enough energy for a quick review.
Very attractive copper color, normal head 1 1/2 fingers of medium sized bubbles.
Mild slicy aroma possibly from wheat, with caramel and squash. Some very faint hints of undermined spices, possibly cinnamon and cardamom. And a cider vinegar type sourness.
The body is medium light and the flavour is well blended, and not overpowering. Squash, and spices, which I'm almost sure include cinnamon and cardamom. The sour is very much like a mild cider vinegar. Pretty good offering.

I really enjoy the end, a slowly fading smoke.

This brown ale is actually a gorgeous deep red with a bit of brown. It builds a large creamy brown head that becomes a thin patchy layer that laces very nicely.
I really could just sit and sniff this beer all day. The aromas are of amazing smooth creamy coffee with just a tiny hint of chocolate in the back.
The flavour starts out with a bit off bitterness that comes from the hops but it seems like it could be from the coffee. Very cool.
Of course the main component is the coffee. So very delicious. The hops do have some mild earthy fruity and floral notes. There is the smallest chocolate and roastiness too..so damn good. A toast to all you pint please people. Bottoms up.
