No pancakes for me today so settled for a can share of a maple and blueberry pastry stout instead.
Nice. Blueberry is at the forefront, maple is there too. Has a slight raw vegetalness to it. Smooth and mellow with a hint of fruity sourness in the finish.
Well chuffed thst I just made up a new word, vegetalness… you’re welcome. 👍

Yep it's a sour alright but not overly. Mango is the main one here but I've never had tamarind so cNt say what it would taste like. Lively flavours going on though. Thiner that what I was expecting with the mouthfeel if I'm honest.

Very smooth creamy mouthfeel with a lovely fruity front and resinous finish. For the record we queued for Stiff Little Fingers.

Quick beer whilst I pick a few weekend cans up.
Good to see Heist on keg on the south coast, normally only available online down here. I’ve only ever tried their stouts so this is a first.
It’s a very mellow sour, lots of fruit, not much sour, loads of sweetness.
Happy Friday 👍
