Coffee for a nightcap. Well, not coffee as such but an Imperial Coffee Stout. Can't say if this contains caffeine or not. Anyway, the beer shows opaque, pitch black. Timid carbonation creates a moderate tawny head that falls seriously short of one finger and dies hastily to zero. The top is still. Intensive coconut flakes dance seductively with espresso, maple syrup, modest brown sugar and a touch of vanilla in the fragrance. Obviously sweet. The palate serves black and white flavors, such as coconut flakes, lactose and a hint of vanilla on the white side, and espresso, maple syrup, dark chocolate and brown sugar on the black side. Sweet, indeed! The body is full but not supersturdy. The tail narrows down somewhat, for example the coffeeish sector diminishes significantly while the rest of the dark flavors continue further on. Mourning coffee tastes like there's no use for me to gettin' up again, and I dream your lips onto my skin; I've seen many of your future, plenty of your past, and I walk miles to get through the aftertaste but it's just, a bit too fast. The mouthfeel is full, sticky, deep, intense, a tad chewy and desserty. Attractive but rather predictable.

We picked neighbor's hop cones, ours are brown and wasted. Well whatever, I need hops for all the Sahti batches of the year. I'm glad I now have a bag of cones. Yeah!! Now a nightcap. Black and opaque. What else can I expect of a 12% IS? Imperial Milk Stout, to be precise. The flavor cocktail is that of a "crème brûlée". Sounds like a treat. 🇧🇬 is the home of this beer. Alright, a modest tan head emerges on the surface but it dies hastily. Then zero. Powerful caramel fudge and toffee in the air. Really massive. Butterscotch and cream, as well. Toasted brown sugar seasons beautifully the sweet delicacy. Vanilla? Mmmmm.... maybe a pinch. The taste is desserty. No question about it. However, the fragrance gives even more copious crème brûlée elements than the actual taste although I can still depict caramel, toffee, butterscotch, a small amendment of brown sugar, a tad cacao nibs and delicate vanilla. Crazy! Is this beer? The body is full. Not enormous but distinctly full. The end is sweet and desserty, caramelly, toffeey and chocolatey, just like crème brûlée. Brown sugar forms a hard cover for the delicacy. Dancing in the moonlight; don't wanna tell the aftertaste goodbye; ain't no other way, you can be my mind of god; let's stay together all night and into the morning light; make you crème brûlée all night. The mouthfeel is full, desserty, adjuncted, deep and a bit sticky. Candy-like. Unbeery like there's no tomorrow. Is this real? Metalhead masters this style! 🖤🖤🖤

Venetian Night 🔥🌜 Night of the Ancient Fires. End of summer. Tonight is also the Sleep Outdoors Night. An Imperial Stout from 🇧🇬. Flavored with blueberry, maple syrup, coconut and vanilla. A cute 250 ml can. The pour is apparently opaque, jet black. The carbonation is quite timid. It produces a dense moussy head whose height falls short of one finger and color is mauve taupe. Looks attractive. Blueberry jam is exceptionally powerful in the scent. Maple syrup accompanies in close proximity. Coconut can't be missed either but vanilla is difficult to capture because of the otherwise sweet cakey sensation. I'm also getting Bourbon although this is not barrel aged and should give no such flavor at all. Cacao nibs and faint coffee close the olfactory books. The taste profile is extraordinarily cakey: sweet blueberry jam, maple syrup, coconut flesh, dark chocolate, cacao nibs, lactose and, yes, a touch of delicate vanilla. Sweet plum, a bit of caramel and brown biscuit seal the deal this time. The body is medium-full to full. The end doesn't give anything new as compared to the actual taste. Countess swathed in ebony and snow-white balletic grace; rouge-filmed aftertaste procure the wish, for lust and her disgrace; dusk and her embrace. The mouthfeel is beautifully full and insanely adjuncted. It's sappy, sticky, chewy and desserty. Also jam-like. Very soft, smooth and seductive. Unbeery big time.

A nightcap. From 🇧🇬. A honey & Morita chipotle BBQ smoked porter. Sounds... something. Interesting, at least. Maybe also a bit perverted. Opaque black beer. Not really surprising. Subdued carbonation produces a tawny velvety head that barely reaches half a finger. Then it melts down to a modest lace ring that circulates the top. The nose loves the intensive aromas: heavily smoked malt but definitely not burned, dark chocolate, maple syrup, delicate vanilla and a twist of mild chili, like jalapeño. Very intriguing, absolutely not too common a medley. My tongue falls in nirvana when those beautiful flavors land on the tastebuds: intensive smoked malt, cacao nibs, dark chocolate and smoked chipotle. Maple syrup and vanilla get new friends, honey and brown sugar, to collaborate in order to sweeten the package. I 🖤 the chili+chocolate combination crazily. The body is robust. Big. The finish accentuates the capsaicin burn on both sides of my tongue. The sweet nuances are first huge but diminish rapidly toward the end. Death, doom, and gloom; misery, sorrow, and fear; destruction, heartache, and tragic loss; the aftertaste is from Calontir. The mouthfeel is full, thick, sticky, round, deep, intense, chewy and adjuncted. It's spicy, tingling, still relatively gentle and velvety. Not complex but definitely seductive. Endorphin and dopamine flow in my veins. 🖤🖤🌶️🌶️🖤🖤
