Another Stout brew on football night at my son's man cave / theater room. Curious about this beer since it came from Aldi supermarket. Not a national brand I would expect. Opaque brown color, not very much head on it. Strong milk chocolate aroma. Texture is very creamy and smooth. Flavor comes across with a powerful milk chocolate. No change in flavor through a prolonged finish. Like a candy bar in a glass. Can't detect that 8% alcohol at all so be careful with it. Much better than I expected from a very inexpensive beer. I'll probably go back and get some more of it.

This is a classic buyer beware purchase. During a mad dash round Aldi this caught my eye. All I saw was imported, American and authentic. I drifted back to April 86 when I drove from Orlando to Daytona Beach for spring break drinking chilled Miller, happy days. It was only when I got home and inspected the label to discover it's 'american style lager" brewed in France for Aldi......a perfect storm of mediocrity. This is the Aldi equivalent of the great Satan of American tramp juice, Budweiser. I anticipate that tomorrow my piss will smell like a 10 day old rotting corpse. As I said, buyer beware......2/5
