Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and thick lacing. Aroma of caramel malt, citrus hops, orange and grapefruit citrus and a hint of pine. Flavor is light caramel malt, citrus and mildly piney hops, orange and grapefruit citrus, hints of light stone and tropical fruit; finishes with nice pine needle and citrus hops. Medium bodied with light creaminess. A flavorful Northwest style IPA with an excellent balance of fruit and pine hop flavors and a good supportive malt base that does not add a lot of flavor of its own. The hops bill is interesting and varied, but also very well balanced. Nice lingering mixed citrus and pine finish. I like this quite a bit. I've found Ecliptic to be a reliable source of flavorful, well made brews.
