Anspach & Hobday
England

Anspach & Hobday's emergence in early 2014 rubber-stamped Bermondsey's position at the heart of London's craft-beer scene, so it's appropriate that they take so much inspiration from the city's unparalleled brewing tradition: the brewery's launch range included a porter and an IPA. They're not restrained by tradition, though, so expect to find more than just local heroes if you venture down to the brewery on a Saturday or Sunday. The focus, they say, is on producing beers with complexity and character. Quietly impressive.

I love a good cask beer and this one is not too bad as a pale ale. No strong flavours but a muted floral aroma and taste makes it a pleasant light beer for hotter weather. The low ABV, carbonation and light flavours would make it a great session ale
