An adequate red ale with good malt characteristics. It looks the part, the aroma is ok but something is just missing.
According to the bottle: A reddish copper ale with a nicely hopped flavour creating a wonderfully well balanced ale any aspiring witch would be proud of. REALLY!

Almost black with quarter inch light biscuit head that's lasting. No discernable nose, smooth mouth feel with little bitterness but lovely dark malts and a little treacle. Smooth clean finish almost a creamy experience. Well balanced, certainly no sweetness.

Nice but perhaps not as much as the Big Mouth Porter. Nice smoky flavour but a bit thin.
