Opaque, jet black beer. A light tan head with two fingers' height. Long retention. The foamy cap lingers for a long time, smaller of course but fairly sturdy, on the top. The nose receives burned malt, burned coffee beans and ash. Not very typical at a Sweet Stout but reasonably appealing anyway. The taste puts forward moderately sweeter flavors: roasted malt, coffee, licorice, lactose and a dash of syrup. The mouthfeel is light-medium to medium, a bit effervescent, soft, smooth, roasty and lip-glueing. Doesn't start very impressive but improves nicely on the way.

Another drink bought from Slap Savica. Summer Ale. Enjoyed at the Hostel Pod Voglom with the leftovers from today's huge pizza 🍕 Semihazy gold is the hue. The carbonation is fairly standard and produces a white, small-bubbled head that barely reaches one finger and descends to the sides. Biscuit, cereal, mango and mandarin tease my nose. A very soft, fruity scent. The gustatory profile consists of the same components but the fruity components of mango, mandarin and orange peel win the race against biscuit, cereal and soft malt. Belgian yeast brings in an additional softening punch. The body is light-medium. The mouthfeel is soft, smooth, juicy, reasonably Belgiany and faintly crisp. A lovely summery piece.

The second brew is a Gose. This scarlet cutie lets the light go through. The top is adorned by a faintly pinkish lacing. Blackcurrant mash in the fragrance. Followed by a doughy nuance. Interesting. But no dough in the taste, just blackcurrant juice that is moderately sour and thin. Salt is subdued. The body is thin. I checked the ABV that clocks 2.9 %. Okay, no wonder then 😅 In addition to thin, this feels juicy, autumnal and faintly tart.

Bohinj 🇸🇮 A couple of local brews, mine is a Black IPA. Colors translucent, dark brown. A velvety beige head grows one finger tall. Roasted malt, resin and dry grass in the air. Not very challenging. Sips with roasted malt, resin, dry hops, grass and a hint of black coffee. Reasonably characterful. Feels light-medium to medium, crisp, roasty and resinous. Juicy, to my surprise. And slightly drying.
