Worst Xmas beer I’ve had this year. The original of the porter ‘midnight slug’ is really nice, I gave it 3.5 stars. This Xmas version however is not very nice. The original is nice and fruity with chocolate notes. This one is along the same lines but with a large helping of Xmas spices added, it’s too much, quite sickening and I found it hard to get through a pint. Some things just don’t need to be messed with!

Enjoyed this porter from a local brewery, been impressed by their dark offerings previously and this new one was pretty good. It's quite rich despite at 4.8 a fairly low ABV. I found myself going for a refreshing gose after a couple to recover!

Not enamoured, if your gonna call it brown ale it at least needs to be a better pint than the Newcastle!!

Well impressed with this porter from a new local brewery. Rich and slightly fruity.
