Big Smoke Brew Co
England
chevron_leftchevron_right
You'll find The Big Smoke Brew Co at the back of The Antelope, a beautiful pub in the uber-leafy Surrey suburb of Surbiton (insert Good Life gag here). Beers range from the classics (pale ale, porter) to slightly more experimental efforts, like a milk stout made with coffee, cacao and vanilla. The majority of the beer brewed here is sold on-site but you might spot it in other good-beer spots, particularly in south-west London.

I was a bit concerned when I saw the colour of it, and my suspicion was confirmed. This is a bit weak and watery - they’ve tried to call it ‘sessionable’, but I think I’d move on to something that tastes less like a disappointing radler.

Yellow-gold Pale ale that’s a very sessionable beer. Quite a fruity citrus flavour with just a hint of tropical fruits. Satisfying medium-bitter finish.
