This looks promising, but the pour out of the can was very weak, it was surprisingly thin and had absolutely no foam. The resultant body was a remarkabley brown, wiht only a stout blackness in the core of the glass and no head whatsoever. Scent is striking, plenty of chocolate and espresso notes, some brown sugar, molasses and finished with some dried fruit and mild vanilla. Alot going on but very well balanced and conveyed. The feeling in the mouth is surprisingly decent, I had low expectations because of the poor pour and body. After the initial impact of the 15%, there is a slight sharpness that melds with a mild carbonation and fluctuates as the warmth rolls in. The body is still light but there is enough flavour and character to make up for it. Taste is great, sweet and boozy in spades. A wall of brown sugar laced sweetness hits first which slowly transitions into the chocolate. As the chocolate fades, a milder version of the coffee slides in with a flash of vanilla which eases the warmth and it all rides out on a dry aftertaste that encompasses all the flavour elements well. I have to mark it down over the poor appearance but it was a great imperial dessert stout and it wasn't poisoned with tonnes of lactose.

Nice citrus aroma. Strong hoppy taste, well balanced with the sour notes. Has a pleasant bitter aftertaste. Decent citra IPA 👌
