Big hit of caramel on first sip, gentle hop bite followed. The beer mellows in to a bready, fruity smooth ale with a swift citrus finish. Just been reading about the history of Palmer’s Brewery a few days ago in my British Family Brewers book so it was nice to drink something from a brewery I just read about, especially as the brewery itself is 5 mins up the road.

Englandreise #11 Ein Premium Ale mit typischer dunkler, fast Cola-artiger Farbe. Dezenter, aber stabiler Schaum. Es riecht süß und so schmeckt es auch. Karamellig, mild und mit einem Hang ins Bittere.

Worst ever. Wer viel probiert, wird auch mal enttäuscht 😞

Bostin pint. Nice malty aroma, creamy mouthfeel, with a nice malty taste mixed in. Subtle citrus fruit tang with a slight hoppy note leads to an enjoyable sweet finish. Enjoyable bitter aftertaste. Smooth and easy-drinking session ale, even at the ABV. Just take it easy, because the strength catches up with you eventually.
