I wanted to give this a go again and savor it a little better as I crushed it the first time.
Basically it’s not really changing. I do pick up just a tad more sour red grape. Not really getting the hint of smoke this time (maybe it was something I was eating last night). Still has a nice hoppy side.
It has to be the most balanced barleywine I’ve ever had. Definitely the most hoppy. The shame is it is just weak. If this had a little more umph it would rate much higher

Has a bit of a hoppy side for a barleywine but is balanced.
Malty/sweet side leans towards toffee, red grapes (slightly sour), apricot, a hint of smoke. This is counter balanced by the hoppy side that leans towards a piney taste.
Overall I love the balance and complexity on this one. Unfortunately it is kind of weak overall. I do want to give this a go again as I kind of slurped this one down. I do have more.

A golden ale that leans towards a Belgium style. Has some Belgium spice that has mainly a clove taste to it but on the light side. Very light fruit that leans towards apple. All I can say is it is an American Belgium style golden. Tastes good but weak overall.
