Getting late in the summer, taking the kayak out on a late Sunday after the weekenders are all gone. So quiet. But I have a kolsch, so life is good. Started with a very high head, settled down nicely. Still plenty of effervescence going on. Hazy but no particulates. Faint citrus but mostly wheat in the aroma. Flavor is tart, plenty of wheat malt, both crips and dry. Flavor is very moderate which makes it very drinkable. Actually might be a kolsch lite. I definitely would not choose this if I were kicking back and looking for plenty of flavor for my pallet but being on the kayak, it works okay.

On draft at The Tap House. Of all my flight of five beers, this was the best. Very deep reddish brown in color. Brady and smooth, even creamy. Low carbonation and almost no bitterness. Very gentle and smooth finish. Excellent.
