This has a dark bread, light toffee, slightly nutty taste with a touch of chocolate to it. Kind of weak that just doesn’t have a strong enough flavor to it. Decent but wouldn’t seek.
I think the oatmeal stout before this might have skewed my taste tho

Moved on down the road to NCBC brewpub. Trying the oatmeal stout.
This has roasted malt, oatmeal, light bakers chocolate. It’s quite bitter. Finishes dry. Thin.

This is kind of old school like. This has a citrus that leans towards grapefruit with some almost strong earthy hops. Has some toasted caramel malt. Add in some light pine and you are talking old school.
Love an old school taste.

I was expecting this to be heavy pineapple. It is not. It is tropical with light citrus that leans towards berry, mango and orange. Of course there is pineapple there too with a hint of spice to it. It is not very hoppy - very light at best. Has a hint of malt to it.
Very tasty. No date on can.

This is a little different. It is malty and hoppy. Has a toasted caramel malty taste that hits you right up front and thru-out. Has some earthy and slightly spicy hops that has a rye taste to it. Has a hint of orange citrus. Bitterness is almost medium. The hoppy bite lingers in the mouth. Finishes a little dry.
I wasn’t expecting such a dark color. Doing a little research it looks like it is an English style IPA.
It’s good. Well balanced. Not the greatest thing I’ve had but like how it is different. I love how the hops linger in the mouth too. My only complaint is the overall taste could be just a tad bit stronger although it did improve a little at the end.

So I’m in my jawn. I’m watching the flyers. They’re beating Ottawa 3-2. They go to the in between periods jawn and I figure I want a beer. I go to my kitchen and open this jawn that I got in my fridge. That’s one tasty jawn. I like it. Figure when the game’s over I might go over to the grocery jawn and grab a couple more.

This runs on the malty side that has dark bread with some caramel/toffee to it. This starts equally hoppy but that fades a bit. Has bit of a strange spicy hops taste to it.
Overall nice and a little different tasting than your normal amber style
