Yksi parhaimmista. Vahva ja täyteläinen maku

Unto Sahti by Plevna. This particular Sahti was brewed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of restaurant Plevna. Hence a 2024 vintage. This same Sahti was brewed at least in 2013–2014, otherwise I'm not aware of any other vintages. Alright, the Sahti then! Looks dark, dark brown actually. Dark mahogany, to be accurate. And murky. As if I also saw a faint reflection of dark purple plum there but it may also be the dim lights here that distort the appearance a bit. Very vague carbonation but not nonexistent. The Sahti may have experienced slight fermentation still in the keg. A latte-hued lace ring with big bubbles emerges on the sides, like up to the level of 5 mm maybe and then descends even lower but doesn't fade entirely away. The scent is not as sweet as I expected. As if rye involved. A small amendment of overripe banana hovers to my nose. The Sahti is quite cold, it's hard to receive anything else in the air now. If I start getting other nuances while I'm trying to make this warmer, I'll report them here. [•••] Okay, almost immediately, I can spot cookie, raw cacao powder, rye flour and juniper bough. But no new aromas were detected thereafter. The tastebuds get easily along with the manageable flavors: overripe banana, cookie, raw chocolate powder, dark caramel, syrup and raw purple plum. And juniper twig. Very decent, nothing is striking, nothing is sappy, nothing is annoying, but smooth and easy. The body is medium-full. Acceptable although I've had bigger-bodied Sahtis with this ABV strength, too. Viscosity is moderate. The end doesn't change a bit here. All is good. The mouthfeel is medium-full, intense, deep, medium-thick and lip-glueing. Quite alright overall.
