Riitaisa kokonaisuus, ei osaa päättää ollakko saison vai ipa. Henk.kohtaisesti sitä mieltä että näitä tyylejä ei voi sekoittaa. Saisonin raikkaan happama hedelmä vaihtuu turhan kitkeräksi ipaksi, samalla vieden valtaosan mausta mukanaan. Mielenkiintoinen tuote mutta en varsinaisesti liputa tämän puolesta. Hyvä yritys!

Semifoggy, amber beer with powerful effervescent but short-lived carbonation creates a cream-colored, cotton foamy pillow that falls short of two fingers. The drying head clings tightly to the wall of the glass and melts otherwise unpatchily to a thinner whipped-creamy lacing on top. Hefty horizontal foam stripes adorn the glass even after the drink itself is finished. The scent portrays relatively weak aromas, first and foremost a tad grapefruit and lemon, accompanied by very subtle bitter orange and very weak pineapple. The taste leans more towards Saison than IPA despite the fact that this an interesting hybrid brew of "Saison IPA". The medium-bitter, relatively sour citrusy gustatory offer gets boosted by the lightly dry-hopped backup. Coarse lemon peel, much less pushy lemon zest, bitter wheat flour, a loaf of soft toast and a suggestion of sour raspberry constitute the key elements of the beer's gustatory universe. The body is light-medium. The beer ends with a rather bittersour, citrusy aftertaste in which lemon peel, slightly piney hops and bitter wheat flour alternate. The aftertaste rolls on tongue for a medium to long duration. The mouthfeel is very fresh, distantly crisp and somewhat tart, even very slightly sharp and somewhat Mediterranean.

IPA-vihaajana annoin saison IPA:lle kuitenkin mahdollisuuden. Maku raikas ja IPA:lle tyypillinen sitruksinen kitkeryys tulee esille vasta jälkimakuna. Hedelmäinen ja kevyt, sopii kesään.

No niin, vihdoinkin joku kertoo jo oluen nimessä, mistä IPA-buumissa on oikeasti kysymys! Vitsi vitsinä, eli lasissa Kurvin panimon Saison IPAa, eli jonkin sortin hybridi kyseessä. Saisonfiilarit dominoi, ehkä IPA osuus on hieman normia tujumpi humalointi. Mielenkiintoinen, mutta yleisesti: Saison ja IPA erikseen, kiitos.
