Barrel Aged Advent Calendar beer Day #14 2015 release, bottled on 8-27-2015 Chocolate and roasty notes in the aroma. Taste has dark fruits, followed by chocolate, coffee and roasted malts coming through on the finish. I messed up on this one. It isn't barrel aged. Maybe I'll add a bonus beer to the calendar. Excellent stout either way. 4.5/5

Rich dark chocolate, roasted malts and dark fruits in the taste. Great balance. I only have 5 bottles left, so I'll gladly grab this one when out and about. Bourbon barrel aging this is the only thing that could possibly make it any better. 4.5/5

Never say never, I guess. I didn't think I'd ever have this beer again, but got the chance to score a 6-pack recently. Just over 3 years old. Chocolate and bourbon in the aroma. Taste has chocolate, bourbon, dark fruits and coffee. Truly a great stout. I have 5 in the cellar to enjoy down the road. 4.5/5

This should be a treat. About 2 1/2 years old. Chocolate, caramel and booze in the aroma. Chocolate in the flavor stands out the most. There's definitely some coffee there, but I bet it's faded over time and was much more pronounced when this beer was fresh. The booze is there, but it helps to compliment the flavor. Kind of has a smoky flavor. Great stout that I'll never have again, but am glad to have had. Nice medium-full mouthfeel. A slight bit of bitterness, but otherwise a smooth drinking stout. 4.5/5
