Single variety American hop. Brewed exclusively for Marks and Spencer by Oakham Ales. This single hopped variety is from a brewery in Cambridgeshire, a county renowned for the pleasures of punting down the river cam. About the beer... The Citra hop was developed and patented in the USA and was first used in the UK in 2009, by Oakham Ales. Its distinctive citrus aroma has proved hugely popular ever since, creating a deliciously refreshing beer with fruity aromas and a dry finish.

Not a bad IPA but I would prefer a better mouthfeel. It has a pine / citrus finish. Carbonation is on point

Pour was straightforward, yellow body with a slight golden tinge and only a slight head that didn't retain well. Aromas of bitter malt, cracker, bready dough and a little sweet mango. The beer is medium bodied, alot fuller than I was expecting though thr carbonation dulled slightly and the beer was bordering on flat. Taste is more like a pale ale, there are sweet notes, mango and come generic citrus but it is largely dominated by the bitter malt, cracker, bread and slight caramel with a harsh finish and a slight pine resin. It's an average ale, I wouldn't bother with it again.
