Bottle. Bottled on 24.1.2019 Temperature:? Coffee brown beer. There's an alarming ring inside the bottle where the beer's surface was. Usually, this means contamination or that the beer has been bottled too early. Small tan head with fairly good retention: 4/5 Aromas of toastiness, coffee, vanilla, fig, and fruitiness. Something seems a bit off: 3/5 Mouthfeel is medium with a soft malty backbone and medium-low carbonation. Medium body kind of like a disappears towards the end: 3,25/5 Taste has a nasty medicine-like flavor, clearly an off-flavor and probably caused by some sort of contamination. Coffee, toasty and vanilla are trying to mask this flavor but are too weak to do it. Aftertaste is dry: 5,5/15 Not totally ruined but not very enjoyable either. Even without the off-flavor, the beer seems dull and weak: 9/20 =24,75/50

I smell coffee and vanilla. I taste bitter black coffee and some sweetness from the vanilla. There's a bit of sourness as well, which is a bit distracting from the good flavors. I want to like this, because it has so much promise, but the mid-palate sourness is unwelcome. I hate to do this to odd side, but 2.5/5
