A rich smooth classic porter. Balanced and full of flavour, neither too bitter nor too sweet, Coal Porter is faithful to the porter recipes that drinkers in 19th century London would have recognised. Drinkers of porter beers from Trumans and Barclay Perkins would have been well catered for on their trips to Yorkshire had we been around a 100 years ago!

This is another great beer, well impressed with these Great British Breworks lot. Again as fresh as it gets as brewed on the premises but a great porter nonetheless. Rich and smooth with bags of sweet malts balanced by bitter hops. Notes of dark fruit and dark chocolate also in the mix alongside the roasted malt. Again I can’t quite believe this is 4.9%, I’d have guessed 6.5ish. Beautiful!
