ENGLISH: The nose releases aromas of strongly roasted coffee and sweet cocoa. The flavor is rich and complex: milky chocolate, with a bitterness of an espresso, a hint of caramel and some grains. The announced vanilla remains subtle, well dosed, and that's how it should be. The aftertaste is quite malty and gives off a pleasant cocoa. It is simple, well structured, finely thought out and rather surprising. Lovely tasting!

Aivan hyvä milk stout. Taisin liian kylmänä huitaista kun oli epähuomiossa mennyt jääkaappiin eikä viinikaappiin.

LEFT HANDED GIANT have produced a corker of a beer here! This is a can of their DEEPER WATER. The beer is a 5.1% ABV, milk stout. The artwork on the can is something I feel should be mentioned. It drew me in to the beer in a big way! So, the beer pours a CLOSE to jet back colour in the glass. Tiniest bit of light bleeds through the bottom of the glass. The beer rocked a 2 finger, tanned coloured head, with good level of carbonation to it. Looks sublime in the glass! The aroma... brought a huge smile to my face. Definitely what i want in a quality milk stout. There’s chocolate, coffee and caramel coming from the roasted malt. It’s quite nutty. It’s lactosey, giving it that creamy, milky aroma. There’s a hint of fig in there. I’m glad to say... the taste delivered all of the these lovely aromas to the palate. The roasted malt up front to begin with. Chocolate, coffee and caramel. There’s definitely a creamy, milkiness to it. This is also evident in the mouth feel. Really smooth and silky. Decent level of bitterness as the beer goes down. As you rock the beer around the glass, the lacing that the head leaves behind is lovely, it really is! Quality looking beer from a brewery I’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for. Despite being only 5.1% ABV, it definitely tastes more premium and made made feel like I was drinking a 9, 10 or an 11% ABV imperial stout. Gloopy and rich. Great beer from LEFT HANDED GIANT!

Vanilja ja suklaa tuoksuivat. Maku on aika makea. Ehkä vähän liiankin makea. Maistuu kyllä jälkiruokaolueksi.
