Teaming up with Terrapin for the fifth time, Shmaltz Brewing returns with Reunion Ale ’15. For 2015 Reunion was exclusively brewed at Shmaltz in Upstate NY with Terrapin brewmaster "Spike" Buckowski traveling from Georgia to NY to help brew the latest collaboration. Each year we brew Reunion in memory of our dear friend - Virginia MacLean. Virginia lost her battle with multiple myeloma in 2007. It was her wish that we continue to raise funds and awareness on behalf of the Institute for Myeloma and Bone Cancer Research. This is not another pumpkin beer. It’s a dark ale brewed with Belgian yeast, pumpkin, chocolate, cocoa nibs, cinnamon, vanilla, ginger, and Mexican chili pepper. It was originally inspired by a fantastic desert that we used to share with Virginia at our favorite restaurant. Many thanks to all who have supported this project and have helped us honor Virginia’s memory.
