davvero ma davvero particolare. una imperial. stout fuori dal comune: invecchiata in una botte di bourbon. la schiuma è similissima a quella del caffe, in bocca ha un sapore non ben distinto che prende forma solo dopo che la butti giù: un intenso sapore di caffè di fa la strada alle capriole che la birra sta per fare, sentirai delle note ben distinte di vaniglia e in overall un sapore simile al ciccolato. l'alcol non lo senti per niente, anche se una bottiglia intera di questa potrebbe essere pericolosa nella serata sbagliata. una birra completissima, adatta a chi vuole provare qualcosa di diverso, perfetto l'abbinamento con un dessert al cioccolato

Nyt unohdetaan kantaaottavuus ja keskitytään olennaiseen. Tuoksun Bourbon tynnyri ja tumma hedelmäisyys jo sinällään aiheuttaa pakon omaista tarvetta maistamiseen. Maltoin kuitenkin odotella lämpenemistä, mutta vaikka kyseessä onkin "paremman" luokan IS aiemmin mainituilla mausteilla, pienellä suklaalla terästettynäkin, jäin silti kaipaamaan jotain "täyttymystä".

Jackie O's RIS tyylinen (vuoden) Bourbon tynnyreissä viettänyt herkku lasiin,koska vielä on pääsiäistä jäljellä 😅🍻. (päiväystä en löydä,mutta jossain kohtaa viime vuonna pullotettu kuiteskin) Tuoksussa tummempaa suklaata,kepeästi paahtunutta karamellista maltaisuutta,unohtamatta tietenkään Bourbonin suloisen kutsuvaa viettelystä. Suutuntuma on suht runsas ja pitemmin suussa jylläävän lämmittävän Bourboninen.Pikkuriikkisen se silti paksumpaa pureskelu pintaa ehkä kaipaisi.Vaikka pidän siitä kyllä näinkin😋 Maku lähtee liikkeelle selvällä tummemmalla suklaisuudella,mihin ruvetaan heti perään lapioimaan runsaammin Bourbonia myös pesään💪. Tammisempaa kepeästi kuivempaa puisuutta myös löytyy,kahvikupposella minkä jälkeen vielä sellaista lievästi paahteista karamellisempaa mallastakin iskeentyy makunystyröille. Oikeen passeli tapaus kyllä 😋👌.Todella pehmeä ja smuutti hyvällä Bourbonin työnnöllä.Jos nyt jotain niin syvyyttä ja pientä terävyyden lisäys ei olisi itselleni pahitteeksi 😅. 😎🍻👊

I just came home from fishing. Zero fish...my first Jackie O's. Bottled on: somewhere in 2020 Temperature: +11,5 C Pitch black beer forms a small head that quickly retreats at the edges where it stays for a long time. The foam might not be much but the lovely black as death color with a thick, oily like viscosity looks awesome: 4,25/5 The aroma is just all around banger. Plenty of Bourbon and oak. Then coffee and chocolate with licorice notes and mild fruity undertones. Maybe not the most unique, but damn, does this have lots of different layers that all play together nicely. Big, bold aroma. Just like an Imperial Stout should have❤️:4,5/5 First sip, and damn...Mouthfeel is full, with the oaky feel and strong, warming alcohol which never at any point, turns boozy. But rather it feels like a fine Bourbon. Just a bit more body and I'd say this is a perfect Barrel-aged IS. So many nuances: 4,5/5 Then the taste and the beer continue its magnificence: Bourbon with vanilla and oak comes through very clearly but it supported nicely by the malt provided chocolate, coffee, licorice flavors. There's also a fruity taste presence adding complexity to the taste. The aftertaste is warm and long. Such a well build brew: 13,5/15 Strong, tasty, complex with lots of character. This has everything that a world-class Imperial Stout should have. That said, this is not a perfect IS, in my opinion. The mouthfeel could be just a bit thicker, but what I'd really like, would be some ballsy roastiness. Now the roasty flavor is mostly coffee and not actual roasty roasty flavor. Such a fine beer. Cost a lot, but it's worth the money. Highly recommended, big BA Imperial: 17,75/20 =44,5/50

Bourbon ja tämä tavallinen rinnakkain. Tavallinen on todella synkkä ja tiukkaa. Taas bourbonissa on täyteläisyyttä ja mukavaa vaniljaista. Kermatoffee on kova sana. Bourbon voittaa.
