Very interesting nose on this beer. Equal parts citrus, orange, peach, and grapefruit. Thanks what I am going to assume a kumquat tastes like as I've never had one. There is also a sparkling wine note that gives the beer a bit of a spritzer aroma. Under the fruit juice smell there is wheat and a slight biscuit malt.
It is creamy soft on the palate, and medium bodied.
The flavours are sort of tangerine, mandarin, orange, and mild grapefruit, and stone fruit. Again I suppose that is what Kumqaut tastes like? It seems like it was wants to be tart but it's sweet.
The wheat helps cut the sweetness a bit and I guess there are some hops helping too. At first sip I didn't really like this, it was an odd mix of flavours but after a few mouthfuls, I found that I did like it.
