Delivers on the promise. Cocoa could be more pronounced.

Opaque, pitch black beer with good standard carbonation -- actually quite rich for a stout -- pours from tap. A one-finger, dense head that colors cafe au lait emerges on the surface of the beer and lingers as a neat silky layer throughout the entire drink. The scent is exceptionally appealing: massive dry cocoa powder, loads of unsweet raw chocolate and powdered smoke-dried jalapeño. A faint note of black coffee lingers in the shadows, accompanied by distinct ethanol as if in straight vodka. The taste receptors play around with colossal dark chocolate and very thich hot chocolate without sugar, both boosted by the same smoky chipotle as in the fragrance. The palate is fairly simple and predictable but very delicious. The body is medium-full. The finish puts forward some spicy chili and bags of raw chocolate to deal with, in this order. The aftertaste is not particularly long but not hasty either. The mouthfeel is nicely spicy, slightly roasty, somewhat dry, relatively full and substantially round. It's also somewhat throat-warming but not boozy despite the distinctly recognizeable alcoholic twist of the scent. Teerenpeli has truly succeeded with this beer!

Läpinäkymättömän mustaa. Tuoksussa on voimakkaasti kaakaota ja hieman chipotlea. Maku on kuiva, hapan, selkeän kaakaoinen, paahteinen ja aavistuksen chipotleinen. Humalointi on mieto, mutta chiliä toivoisi maussa enemmän.

Tuoksussa suklaata ja paahteisuutta. Maussa makeutta, mallasta, hieman happamuutta ja kitkeryyttä. Chili jää sopivasti kurkunpäähän. Odotukset oli korkeammalla, makeutta saisi olla hivenen enemmmän.
