Whiskey and cherries in the aroma with just a touch of chocolate behind that. Taste has slightly tart cherries, whiskey that's mellow while still being flavorful and a nice chocolate note to round it out. The time in the cellar definitely did some good for this one. Without looking back, I'm not sure what changed over the last 2 years, but I'm liking this a lot right now. I'd buy this again if they ever release it in the future. Solid 4/5

Decided to pull another one from the cellar. It's been down there for about a year and 4 months. The cherry is somewhat tart, whiskey notes carry throughout, and there's a slight bit of chocolate hiding in there which is expected from the base version. I don't remember how I felt about this one last time I had it, but I like where it's at right now. I only have one left and I'll probably enjoy that sometime in the next half year or so. High 4/5

Aged for 9 months. Aroma has tart cherries, chocolate, oak and whiskey. Taste has tart cherries, some chocolate (not a lot), some oak. Whiskey is there, but it's really mellowed out quite a bit. It's a nice beer that has, so far, aged decently. I'll try another in a half year and see if anything changes. Still a 4/5

Oaky aroma along with cherries. Maybe some chocolate in there and faint whiskey. Tart cherries and some chocolate on the taste. Neither flavor is overwhelming and both compliment each other. Maybe chocolate covered cherries. Alcohol is very well hidden. No noticeable whiskey in the taste. I think I'll age my remaining three bottles... I'd love to see how this ages. Maybe 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. 4/5 as it is right now. Pricey for a 4 pack, but worth it, in my opinion
