Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #22 (final day) Bottled on 7-19-2019 I absolutely loved this beer when I first had it 4 years ago. When I had it a few years back, it had fallen off some. It had an interesting pop when I opened this one. We'll see how it goes. Rum and chilies first, followed by roasty coffee, chocolate and light vanilla in the aroma. Taste has rum and chilies first again, followed by coffee, vanilla, oak and chocolate. Everything is still there and no off flavors. The chilies are more flavor than heat, which is a plus for me. The coffee is still tasty, but a tad lighter than fresh. The rum lends an interesting sweetness, while also giving it a bit of a bite. The body is bordering on full bodied with an appropriately low amount of carbonation. This isn't quite the 5 star beer I remember it being. I'm sure fresh it is, and while it's still fantastic, it's not one to cellar for more than a year. I'm sure I'll do it again, but we'll see if they even release it again. Another year, another Advent Calendar in the books. Until next year everyone. Cheers! I'll be back for my Christmas beer, but until then, Merry Christmas! 4.5/5

Barrel Aged Advent Calendar Day #2 2019 Vintage. Rum, chocolate, vanilla, oak and a little bit of coffee. Taste has rum and oak first, followed by bitter dark chocolate, vanilla, and coffee on the back end. Subtle hint of peppers, but it's not very noticeable. Leaves a bit of stickiness on the lips after each sip. This is just about as delicious as I remember it being. Medium-full body with a lower amount of carbonation. Very well hidden booze, definitely doesn't taste like it's 15%. Absolutely phenomenal. 2 tasty beers to start. No complaints from me! 4.75/5

Illan viimeiset hitaat Prairierin kanssa. En valitettavasti saa leimasta selvää. Epäilen tämän olenvan 17/18 aikana pullotettu kuitenkin. Kyseessä on siis 15% IS, missä on käytetty kahvia, kaakaonibsejä, vaniljaa ja chiliä. Koko komeus on tynnyröity rommitynnyreissä. Alkoholi on täydellisen piilossa. Laadukas kokonaisuus kaikesta huolimatta.

One of my wish list beers and also beer #1500! Oh wow. Rum galore in the aroma. Vanilla, chili peppers, and chocolate follow. Not really getting much coffee at this point, but there's some and we'll see what the taste offers. Taste has rum, vanilla, mild chili peppers, chocolate and coffee. This is phenomenal and everything I hoped it would be. Great balance among the flavors. The rum is flavorful without being overpowering, the coffee is very complimentary, the peppers offer great flavor without being overly hot, the vanilla smooths things out and the chocolate ties the whole thing together. Full body and an appropriately lower amount of carbonation. The alcohol is very well hidden, drinking like a 10-12% abv beer rather than a 15% beer. I'd love to try this next to a regular Prairie Bomb, so I might grab another bottle, which is hard to convince myself to do at $13.99, but I might. Phenomenal beer, definitely world class and if you come across this, it's worth the spend. I don't rate many beers 5 stars; only the ones worth it, and this is definitely worth that score. 5/5

Kahvi, paahteinen mallas, suklaa vanilla makuinen. Jälkimaussa selvästi chiliä
