Delicious! Thanks Gord for showing me a new avenue of beer to explore ! Big bold citrusy nose followed up by a equally big bold juicy flavor. Mmm loving this type of late hopped beer. Definetly creamy in the mouth with a nice soft finish. Mmmm

I saw this new release and thought of one of our fellow Pint Please enthusiasts, Ipa'napa. So this one is for you. A collaboration between 2 fairly local breweries, WhiteSails and Swans. They call it new England ipa, and yes, yes it is. Not super hazy but hazy enough. Mango orange in color, with a bubbly loose head. It is almost silly to list the fruity juicy aromatics because it has almost everything you could thing of. Citrus, mango, peach, orange, passion fruit, melon, pineapple, grapefruit, etc. It is a big tropical fruit juice. If I had to try and pull a malt note out of the mix it would be slightly wheaty and possibly biscuit. The mouth feel is absolutely fantastic and perfect for this style. Medium heavy body and creamy soft. Very silky and thick. The carbonation is enough to the compliment the flavours beautifully but not rough up the mouth feel. The flavours are once again juicy. There are some tart and bitter hints but they work with the fruits so well that they become necessary. The flaked wheat helps weld those parts together and flaked oats help hold the texture in place. Grapefruit, citrus, and pine are the front runners but allow the other tropical fruits and melon to display themselves. The malty biscuit and is there but very elusive and timid. Near the end of the sip a bit of boozy taste pops up for just a moment while a bit of resinous pine and citrus try to develope an after taste but don't quite do it. This is one of my favorite NEIPAs so far.
