"I snuck off to take a picture of a boat on a the beach. When I came back I noticed multiple freshwater feeds trickling towards Loch Linnhe had brought a beautiful clay sediment along with it. I instinctively picked some up and felt the texture, it was pure clay. I made a mask of it, let it dry and then jumped in the cold water to wash it off. The wonderful bouquet of trace minerals and earth reminded me of the importance in malt in a hoppy but balanced beer. Dedicated to the malt of the earth on that seashore I reciprocated with my own unique blend for an IPA."

The 5th beer from this month's Beer 52 box. It pours a murky golden colour. Hardly any aroma, maybe a hint of fruits, but not much. The flavour is quite earthy, perhaps that's why they called the beer Clay.
