Poulter's Porter
4.8% Porter
A rich, dark, warming porter with hints of coffee and liquorice-perfect for crisp winter evenings. Named after Private Arthur Poulter who was awarded the Victoria Cross for gallantly carrying ten wounded comrades to safety, amid intense fire during the German offensive of The First World War, April 1918.

Pours a dark ruby colour with a beige head. Chocolate and roasted aromas with coffee, chocolate and liquorice flavours. Subtle hint of smoky flavour. Nice Porter.

Nice solid porter with sweet malts, a touch of dark fruit and spice. Something lingers on the finish which I wasn’t a big fan of though 🤔 could have been the end of the cask so will try it again.
