Robust and thick in roasty flavor. A little bitter, in a good dark, warm way. Great with a hearty dinner I think. A nice warm beer for these cold winter eavnings. Mmm, beer hug :)

It was hard to fill the glass as this black lager has an aggressive foam that I won't call a head as it fades far to quickly. Once the task is accomplished though it is a nice black beer that shows rich ruby when put put to the flashlight test. (I really dont know why I feel the need to shine a flashlight through every dark beer I can get in my glass.) The nose immediately picks up dark roast malt. Upon further inhalation there are also chocolate, wheat and some light malt. It's an interesting aroma that has notes of burnt motor oil, but in a good way. If there is such a thing 😁 As it rolls over the tongue the taste buds are busy decoding roasty malts, sweet chocolate, slightly smokey hints and at the end a little bit of that wheat. It has a fairly light body but big flavour. Roasty, silky, sweet and tasty.
