I have very little experience with quince so this review may reflect that. I was in the mood for something different so it was a happy quinceidence (I know, I'm sorry) that I happens upon this milk stout. In the world of beer politics I don't like limited releases, but as a beer lover I can't pass them up. This one is gentle on the nose with a very mild aroma that I had to spend a bit of time with. In the end I could definitely find some milk chocolate, and what I assume is the quince. I get an earthy fruit. Like dried orange peel maybe but not citrus. It is a good deep red brown that actively releases it's carbonation on the pour but builds no head really. I know the picture shows one but it only lasted for the photo op. then was gone by first sip. It has a nice tangy fruitiness that carries into that earthy orange peel kinda flavour. (I need to go get some quince). It almost seems to want to present some nut, but ends up as a bit of burnt caramel and weak coffee that gets picked up after the fruit fades out. There is some hints of hops but not really a main player. I don't find a lot of the chocolate I was getting in the scent. It has some sweetness that is almost overridden by a slight tart sensation. Actually quite dry for a milk stout. I dig it.
