A gorgeous dark stout that easily passed my flashlight test. It did make a coffee colored head but that faded very quickly.
It's hard to go on about this one, what's to say when one encounters a prime example of something.
This has beautiful roast malt aromas with just a hint of chocolate and possibly caramel. But mostly just groovy roastiness. You can just make out the hops but they present no particular odor.
Good medium heavy body and quite dry. Delightfully roasty and a little burnt taste but in a good way. There is some bitterness from both the hops and the malt. Small notes of dark chocolate I suppose and maybe a tiny touch of coffee, but you have to really search for it. Very nice indeed. A good solid Irish stout no frills.☘🍺🖤
