Makes for a phenomenal dessert beer. A rich, creamy chocolate flavour with subtle notes of heat from the chili afterwards. If this is available in your local liquor store it's a must buy for sure!

I guess it's redundant to keep telling you "I was excited for this One!" Twa Dogs brewery has made some excellent beers and I love a good stout. Their porter was quite good so it was an easy purchase to say the least. Thinks the first beer I've had that defeated the flashlight test. Truly black as night and no light shows through. 🤘🖤🤘 It produces a coffee colored active head that fades into the shadows quicker than dignity at the family Christmas party. (Im actually rather presentable till the kids and elderly are in bed.) It has a typical roast malt aroma with generous dark chocolate and what i presume is some chili hints. You can tell there are hops but they don't add to the nose at all. It smells very nice but not doesn't give out huge expectations. (I dated someone like that once.) First impressions as I begin the sip, creamy and a little sweet. As the tongue tries to taste the chocolate, it finds a spicy heat. (I was going to say i dated someone like that once, but it seems inappropriate.) Not a lot mind you, just enough to know for certain it's there. The chili drops off quickly and the chocolate takes prominence. It is there the whole time, but really stands up after the spiciness eases. Not much in the way of aftertaste other than it's a big bold stout that coats the mouth like it ought. Bravo Twa Dogs. Well done indeed. That say this was created by allowing a brewer to brew up whatever they wanted. Yes, do that more please.
