Loved this sweet milk stout from a local brewery last year. Bought a couple of bottles from their stall this year and I’m afraid it doesn’t seem as good. I remember it tasting intensely of proper Lake District gingerbread alongside a nice creamy malt backbone. The gingerbread taste is still there, but it seems muted. Not a bad beer but the gingerbread was the star so a tad disappointed.
