What can I say,.... how am I supposed to pass this by.
It pours an impressive black that passes my flashlight test with just a tiny hint of Red at the very edge of the tilted glass. Very dark.
It built up an impressive and active mocha head that vanished very quickly.
Impressive bouquet of creamy chocolate, mild peanut butter and vanilla. It also allows a very wee bit of coffee and roasty goodness to come forward.
One of the better milk stouts I've had recently. It flows through the mouth like silk and demonstrates a very nice sweet start without going too far. The tongue starts to register the chocolate and peanut butter as the novelty of the sweetness starts to wear off. A mild bitterness from roast malts and hops is next in line and introduces a very mild coffee and roast flavour. Vanilla notes pop in and out througout the sip.
It is a full flavoured beer to be sure, but the body feels like it falls in the middle of the range. It is friendly and co-operative at least to those of practice.
Well played 4 mile brewing. πππ€π» π¨π¦
