Moroccan Gose, Switzerland
Cloudy, juicy-looking beer, colored as a merger of dirty yellow and pale orange. The head that forms on top is mediocre and yellowish with faint grayish hue and melts away to totally still very hastily. Scent is almost nonexistent with some weak, fruity elements. The fragrance is so thin that I have to push my imagination to the utmost performance. Pineapple and lemon linger very remotely in the background. Unlike nose, the taste is not weak at all. Semistrong sour lemon and zesty grapefruit constitute the citrusy backbone of the palate. Citruses are joined by passionfruit and a spoonful of pineapple juice. The relatively sour taste is topped up with a minuscule pinch of salt. The body of this beer is light. It offers relatively sour, medium puckering finish with lemon, grapefruit, passionfruit and raw orange. Overall, very zesty, fruity and mouth-drying. Mouthfeel is tart, somewhat puckering, tropical, dry, quite light, substantially juicy.
