These folks have had a great first year. At least as far as quality of beer and some excellent offerings. I unwrapped this brewery birthday gift (popped the top) and filled the glass with golden body and a 1" medium frothy white head that fades off and leaves a thin white foam that doesn't seem to lace very well. Aromatically speaking this anniversary release presents big floral, piney hops with notes of what seems to me to be lychee and white grape juice. There is also a wee hint of hops spiciness. Oh and wheat. Medium in body and tingly on the tongue. The wheat is used nicely but is almost overwhelmed by the hops. It is fairly bitter and brings the floral pine flavours into harmony with the wheat. It's a good tasty beer that comes across almost more like a standard west coast IPA.
