This beer kinda messes with your head. You see a lager hit the table, lift the glass to your mouth and that's when it hits you. Fresh, crisp morning coffee, but your brain fights you. You ordered a lager, and it looks like a lager, it will taste like a lager. So trusting your most faithful friend, your inner monologue, you take a sip and get hit with the warmth and depth of a thick full Porter, but the light easy drinking of a lager. All in all, it's a delicious beer, a little off the beaten path, but a delicious beer nonetheless.

It is a very great day for me in the craft beer realm my Pint Please friends. I have reviewed this already but I discovered that they have decided to bottle this and keep it in their permanent line up. πŸ‘πŸ€˜πŸΊπŸ˜‚πŸ»πŸ€˜ Very happy with this decision. I read back on what I wrote previously and experienced the same beer this time. Delightful and delicious. I wish I could send out a candy bar we have here in Canada to all of you. It's called coffee crisp and this beer tastes like one.

This morning I woke to a gray dismal November morning, the rain coming down in a real west coast biblical kinda way. A good morning for staring out the window with a piping hot cup of coffee..... What? No coffee. After having sat sulkily contemplating what manner of pathetic life decisions I'd made ton deliver me to this sad state of affairs, I decided to finding a cup at the nearest place. A Scottish pub on the ocean near my house. While enjoying the mug I noticed their newest arrival on tap was a coffee lager. Well, that's serendipitous, I'm on a coffee mission so.... Nice golden orange beer with a medium white head that fades to a thin foam that lasts the glass. At first sniff I got coffee, toffee and a mild orange note. Like the rain drenching the world, I drenched my tongue with this delightful drink. Toffee and coffee indeed. Delicious toffee and caramel malt tastes with a perfect amount of Coffee that seems almost like it has cream in it. It may be a Canadian confection but this beer tastes like a coffee crisp. I do get some very minor orange and possibly coriander notes but they are subtle to non existent. I teally dig this one. So Thankful I was to lazy to buy coffee yesterday.
