Chai Yeti
9.5% Imperial Stout
Our beloved Yeti is going back to its roots with this Himalayan-inspired variation. Traditional Chai spices of cinnamon, green cardamom, black pepper, ginger, nutmeg, and vanilla blend seamlessly with Yeti’s rich, roasted malt backbone for a spicy beast fit to tackle Everest.

Bought a Yeti variety pack so I’m having a Yeti day on this incredibly warm March day (65 degrees / 18.3 C). A taste of spring. This is very spicy that leans towards cinnamon, ginger & nutmeg. I pick up a little vanilla as it warms. Overall this one is a little bit over the top to me. You really can’t pick up much on the “stout” perspective because of the overwhelming spice taste. If you love a spicy stout this one is for you. For me it is a bit too much.

Chocolate, chai tea and a decent hop presence in the aroma. Taste has chocolate, light chai tea, lightly roasted malts and hoppiness. A good deal of the hop bitterness is masked by the chai tea, which improves this beer immensely. Not a go-to beer for me, but I wouldn't turn down a glass. 3.5/5

Seuraavaksi sitten omaa suosikkia Great Dividea vuoroon, Chai Yetin muodossa tälläkertaa. OLUT: Chai Yeti PANIMO: Great Divide Brewing Company OLUTTYYPPI: Imperial Stout MAA: Yhdysvallat VAHVUUS: 9,5% VÄRI (EBC): Musta (-) KATKEROT (EBU/IBU): - TUOKSU: Kardemummainen, muskottinen, vaniljainen. Runsas ja erittäin rikas. VAAHTO: Tiivis, suklaisenruskea, brownie-mainen. Herkullisen näköinen. GREY'S VIEW Kyllä tämä Great Dividen koneöljy on aina yhtä upeaa nautittavaa! MUUTA MAINITTAVAA: Great Divide - Chai Yeti. Mausteinen IS, jota on erittäin miellyttävä nautiskella. Äärilaadukas runko, erittäin hyvillä mausteilla. Suosittelen.

I'm getting chocolate, vanilla and spices in the aroma. I'm getting the same in the taste. The bitterness from the base beer is present, but it's not as intense. There's a smoothness from the vanilla and a milk chocolate. Very good beer. There's supposed to be some spices in here, and there definitely are, but none stand out. They all work together to give this beer and noticeably different flavor than the original. Nice thick mouthfeel, pretty smooth, well hidden alcohol for a 9.5% abv stout. Chocolate is definitely the star here. I'm not too familiar with chai spices, but there's definitely some spices in this one. The spices and vanilla become more prominent in the aroma as it warms more. Definitely worth a try. I may pick it up in the future. 4/5
