Patrons Project 7.04
5.6% Saison / Farmhouse Ale
For our fourth release of this series exploring Saison and it's variations, we teamed up with Andreas Pedersen. Andreas was keen to work on a Farmhouse ale with us, having enjoyed some of the previous beers in this series. We started by putting together a classic grist of Pilsner malt supported by wheat and some oats and rye. Our yeast of choice was, again, the beautiful Dupont-derived strain, WLP565. Finally, we took our mutual favourite hop variety, Nelson Sauvin, for it's gooseberry, light citrus and grape character that works so naturally with the farmhouse style and complements the peppery esters of the Saison yeast.

Très parfumée et un bon goût de fruits mais bien amer.. c'est à la cerise.. il faut la boire doucement le temps de lire l'étiquette qui se détache et l histoire y est contée..

Absolutely Gorgeous! Murky pale gold in colour. White head with good lacing.Nice fruity aroma from the NS. Not over hopped, not too bitter, refreshing. Just enough NS for a fruity aftertaste. Best beer I've had all Christmas by far. Extremely well crafted. Need more now!

Lots of yeast and cereal going on with a bit of spiciness and a light citrus flavour. Very quaffable saison indeed! Another Patrons Project winner!
