Very similar to yesterday’s Burning Sky number but this has got slightly more depth and body and a much more bitter finish.
Interesting nose which consists mostly of white wine from the barrels that this Belgian pale ale was barrel aged in.
I thought that because of the barrel ageing process a lot of the hop flavours would be lost but a nice floral character comes through nicely. Some slight fruit notes are present but most of the flavour is coming from the malt and aforementioned white wine, which is a delicious combination.
Finish is long and smooth with a slight bitterness coming through at the end and that wine booziness going on for days.
