👁 rotbraun; feinporiger Schaum 👃🏻 Karamell (dezent vorgetragen) 👄 Die Malze versuchen mit Würze, Karamellnoten und leichter Süße durchzudringen, kommen aber beim besten Willen nicht so recht gegen die krautigen Hopfennoten und eine ausgeprägte Herbe an. Gleichwohl ist es nah am Wasser gebaut und kann mich nicht so recht begeistern. Damit ich davon eine rote Säufernase bekomme, müsste schon so einiges passieren.

Not feeling the Christmas Spirit anymore with this. The raisins were really present which seemed to deter it from being the amber ale it should be- not bad though.

Very good. A strong-flavoured ale with loads of malts and dark fruit notes like raisins. Incredibly moreish - a lovely Christmas Ale.

I used to drink this a lot ( in the winter), then went off it, and haven’t had it for a few years, but tonight I’m drinking it and actually quite enjoying it
