Boom Selecta is back, obviously with a renewed recipe! Formerly, this beer used to be witbier, now the label declares that it's a sour wit. The beer is entirely unseethrough. Light orange color as if peach nectar. Scanty, cloud-white head emerges on top but melts away quite soon. Later the top is totally still. Nose is thin, sour fruity: bitter orange and passionfruit, apricot, pineapple and lemon with a remote salty note. The palate is equally thin. Bitter orange seasoned with wheat malt, apricot, pineapple and yeast, some lemon peel, passionfruit and a bit of raspberry. The body is skinny. The beer ends rapidly with sour citrus and pineapple, milder apricot, some wheat and recognizeable yeast. Mouthfeel is light, somewhat watery, medium tart, tropical. I'm not impressed by the updated recipe. I prefered the former version.
