Last time To Øl surprised me of how good Barleywine they can make. So hopefully this isn't disappointing. Bottle. Best before 23.9.2024 Temperature: +13 C As this brewery's beers always, plenty of foam that sticks around quite some time looking creamy thick. Clear beer with orange-brown-ish color and shades of copper. Look awesome: 5/5 Aromas of orange marmalade, citrus, and subtle tropical undertones. Caramel sweetness. Grainy malt feel. Some kind of soapy like vibe is the only drawback here. Alcohol feels warmingly and is at the edge of being boozy: 4/5 Mouthfeel is medium with medium-low carbonation. Alcohol is very evident. Perhaps a bit too strong even. Medium intensity bitterness. Quite smooth despite the noticeable alcohol warmth. I feel this is missing something: 3,5/5 Taste starts with a caramel maltiness and again that not so nice, soapy thing. I wonder what it is🤷‍♂️alcohol soon joins the game with an orange marmalade flavor. Fruity and citrusy flavors from the hops make the rest. Despite the high alcohol, this doesn't really have that awesome big feel of a Barleywine: 10,5/15 Not even close the greatness the other Barleywine from these guys was. This is just too alcoholic and lacks depth: 14/20 =37/50
