An Oatmeal Stout with a twist. A hoppy bitter taste keeps the sweetness in check and allows for a great dark beer.

Back home, bottled version bought at one of the Bollington brew pubs. Beautiful, the 'meal in a glass' glorious experience again.

This is what I really came for, but I felt it was 'wrong' to open on a 5%abv. S U P E R B. Nose is liquorice and fennel, a brown black beer with 1/4inch of lasting rich cream head. Mouth feel is luxurious smooth oaty stout, coating tongue like velvet. Gentle bitterness. Easy clean finish, it's filling in the normal 'meal in a glass' kind of way. Fantastic beer, I encourage all to visit the Macclesfield side of the peak District and try this fantastic stout.
