7.2% Hellerbock / Maibock

In the early days this was the last beer to be brewed before the warm summer season. It had an increased alcohol percentage so it would last longer. Regularly looking pint, white head. Thin aroma and taste, some more malts and sweetness than a pilsner. Fresh mouthfeel, light bodied, medium carbonation.

Ich hatte eher ein mildes Bierchen - Frühling halt - erwartet, der Lentebock ist aber doch eher von der kräftigen Sorte mit 7,2% 😉 Erst fing es ganz würzig und recht angenehm an, zwischendurch hatte es auch richtige Fruchtaromen (Pflaume ?), dann wurde es mir aber etwas zu herb mit unangenehmem Beigeschmack.
