Pleasant surprise. Not something I would normally try. It's pours great, really bright yellow colour, unreliable clarity, big head on the beer. A subtle aroma of bananas, other wise a bit boring. Taste that is much better than you expected. It's very balanced for a wheat beer, but it makes for easy drinking. "Clean crisp Tate" as it says on the bottle, And o couldn't agree more. I could session on this happily. Nothing to get yourself excited about, there's nothing special. But, there's nothing wrong. OK

This beer came as a surprise. As I was doing my usual browse for a beer I hadn't tried yet this seemed to be one I would never normally buy or even look at, so I went for it. It's surprising how OK this beer is. It's classified as a Hefeweizen (wheat beer). It's got a nice cloud to it, as it pours it looks tasty. Nice rich amber colours to it and with a nice carbonation. Aromas of banana come out but not too much, it's got a slight to sweetness to the scent. Average bananary taste with a few cloves coming through. Sight citrus finish that gives a little bitter, fresh finish. All in all a nice little surprise. It's not a German classic but it's drinkable and I like it.
