Empire's collaboration brew with Syracuse neighbor Cafe Kubal. This Scotch Ale is infused with a custom blend of Guatemalan beans. The coffee notes complement the slight sweetness of the style very nicely.

I was hoping for more of a scotch ale aspect with this one. Has a strong coffee grind taste. Has some very light nutty caramel malt but that is about it from the scotch ale side. I’m not going to rate low since it does say a scotch ale brewed with coffee. 3.4 is the highest I’d go tho.
